40 Presents for the 40th Birthday Girl

See how I did it! 40 gifts. 40 years. 1 Unforgettable Birthday.

Hey everybody! I'm so glad you stopped by! Today I'm going to introduce you to a very special person who has been through a whirlwind of adventures and medical procedures over the last 40 years. This is my sister-in-law, Shiloh.

She is smiling in this photo because she is celebrating her 40th birthday at her surprise party last weekend! This chick is an amazingly creative and inspiring woman and my husband and I, together with our family, wanted to help make her 40th birthday one for the books. Shiloh graduated from the Fashion Institute of Technology in NYC and lived in Italy studying fashion and designing children's clothes. Shiloh was born with a very rare form of dwarfism. For the last several years her medical condition has been worsening leaving her unable to walk anymore. Shiloh is one of the most kind-hearted and giving individuals you'll ever meet and has the incredible ability to talk to anyone, even a complete stranger, for hours. On her 40th birthday, we celebrated with 40 gifts, one for each year of her life!

Ok so here is the low down on what's in each bag...

I will forewarn you... This could easily add up if you're not careful with your spending! We purchased all of the gifts and wrapping necessities for... {{Shiloh, if you're reading this...avert your eyes now!}} $130 bucks. Which we were very happy with. The Gift Wrap Game is Strong...

The gift wrap really makes all the difference in making these 40 gifts look the part. We purchased the large and small black bags as well as the kraft paper ones with the chalkboard label and the wrapping paper from Michael's, each with a 50% off coupon. Shout out to my husband for helping me go through the cashier line multiple times so that we could use the coupon on each order :)!! The tissue paper came in a trio from Target. The tan labels for the black bags were $1.00 from the Dollar Tree. We also picked up the gift card pocket from Target's dollar section. So, in total, out of the $130 bucks we spent, about $18 was just on the wrapping.
